Tahoma By the Numbers
The numbers are clear: Tahoma School District is a great place to learn, grow and work.
Check out each of the panels to learn about our students, families, staff members and business operations.
Our students have many backgrounds, cultures and abilities—that's what make us who we are.
We have 583 certificated staff, like teachers, and 579 classified staff, who support our schools and students.
The top five languages spoken are English, Spanish, Ukrainian, Russian and Mandarin.
Tahoma School District has one high school, two middle schools and six elementary schools.
Tahoma receives funding from three sources: Washington State, the Federal Government, and local property taxpayers.
Meet Our New Superintendent
Dr. Ginger Callison officially began her role as Superintendent on July 1, 2024, but she spent several months this spring learning about Tahoma, and meeting with parents, teachers, district leaders and community members. In partnership with the school board, Ginger has identified 4 priorities that district staff will be focused on in the 2024-25 school year.
