Registration Process

The registration process consists of four steps, three of which you will complete online. Parents or legal guardians are responsible for providing all required documents to complete the registration process. Once you have completed your student's online application, you will receive confirmation from the district registrar that will include steps to finalize enrollment at your student's school.

Kindergarten Students

The Tahoma School District has Full Day Kindergarten for all students at each of our elementary schools. If your child will be five years old on or before August 31st of the school year in which you are enrolling, he/she is eligible to start kindergarten for that school year. Preschool Students

For children who are not yet kindergarten age and have been receiving special education services on an individualized education plan (IEP) such as speech therapy or developmental preschool, please contact the District's Special Services and Programs office at (425) 413-3579. After special education eligibility has been confirmed, you will be given registration and enrollment information.

Transfer & Waiver Process

In-District Waiver Requests
Beginning August 16, Tahoma School District resident students who wish to attend a school other than their resident school for the 2021-22 school year, must complete and submit the appropriate Application for Transfer from Resident School form. *The student must enroll with their resident school before submitting the transfer applicationThe form can be found here.

*Applications must be submitted and processed with the district office. Please do not submit In-District Waiver forms through the Registration & Enrollment Center, as this will cause a delay in processing.

Out of District Waiver Requests
Beginning August 16, the Tahoma School District allows for students living outside the district to request a waiver to attend school in this district for the 2021-22 school year. The Non-Resident Application for Enrollment must be submitted and approved annually prior to student enrollment. * Follow the link here for more information on the Nonresident Application Process.

*Applications must be submitted with the student's resident school district. Please do not submit Nonresident Applications through the Registration & Enrollment Center, as this will cause a delay in processing and could result in non-enrollment for your student.

Choice Transfer Request
