Emergency Alerts

EEP Late Start and Emergency Closures

We will list on this website, via email, and possibly through text to let you know any changes to the EEP program due to inclement weather or an emergency.

If school is closed on future inclement weather dates, EEP will be open from 8 am-6:30pm at Shadow Lake Elementary. These hours could change based on weather conditions. You will be notified via email and/or phone call or text regarding EEP status. All EEP children who are scheduled to attend that day of the week are eligible to attend at SLES for no additional charge. All other students are able to attend with a $70 per day charge if EEP is open and school is closed on inclement weather days.

Tahoma School District Emergency announcements will be made on the following media/web locations:
Radio: KIRO 97.3FM; KOMO 1000AM and 97.7FM; KVI 570AM
TV: KOMO Channel 4; KING Channel 5; KIRO Channel 7; KCPQ Channel 13

If at any time during a school wide late start or school closure day the Extended Enrichment staff and/or school administrators determine road conditions/weather/power situations are creating, or are anticipated to create an unsafe environment for our EEP students and staff, the program may be closed. Each parent will be notified and required to pick-up or have an emergency contact person pick-up their child.

If there are any scheduling questions during a late start or emergency closure day, please contact your EEP Site Manager’s Cell Phone. The Tahoma District normally has scheduling decisions made by 6:00AM and this information is first transmitted to our Staff Members:
