Students in Molly Galassi’s social studies classes used their Creative Innovator skills this month to gather and display research on subjects related to the Middle Ages.

“The topics ranged from the Plague, to the Feudal System, the Crusades, castles and knights, just to name a few,” Galassi said. “Students had to research with a lens toward one of the following essential questions: How do new ideas change the way people live? Why does conflict develop? or Why do people form their own government?”

She asked her students to create a product that pertained to their particular topic, selecting a project that aligned with their abilities and interests. Products ranged from dioramas that depicted scenes from the time period, models showing the Feudal System of the time, children’s stories, slideshows, Google sites, a video and more.
