⬜   Tahoma 100

We’re announcing the start of a powerful opportunity that we’re calling Tahoma 100. As we reflect on the success, struggles and rich history of our district, we also have a chance to step back and ask ourselves, “What do we want for our district at the start of our second century?” Here’s a fun video to get your blood pumping, and here’s a website that will serve as the hub for Tahoma 100. Today. Tomorrow. Together.

⬜  Kindergarten Registration Open Now!

Do you have a child turning 5 years of age on or before August 31, 2023? If so, it is time to register your child for kindergarten at Tahoma! Our online enrollment opened on Dec. 1, and parents/guardians are encouraged to complete their child’s registration by Jan. 31, 2023. Families will begin receiving important kindergarten information soon thereafter, including our monthly Kindergarten Newsletter.

⬜  Tahoma Drama’s “The Lightning Thief” Premieres THIS WEEKEND!

Based on the 2005 Rick Riordan novel, “The Lightning Thief: The Percy Jackson Musical” follows Percy Jackson, a 12-year-old boy who discovers he is a demigod, goes on a quest to find Zeus' missing lightning bolt and prevent a war between the Greek gods. Tahoma High School’s acclaimed Drama Club will be premiering its production of the musical THIS Friday, Jan. 27, with additional shows on Jan. 28, Feb. 3 and Feb. 4th. Get your tickets now before they sell out!

⬜  Language Proficiency Exams: 8th–12th Grade

The World Language Competency-Based Assessments allows students who have a high level of academic proficiency in a language other than English to earn high school transcript credits, even if that language is not offered at our schools. Testing is comprehensive and includes reading, writing, listening and speaking. If you know of an 8th-12th grade student that would be a candidate for this opportunity, please refer them to the counseling offices (middle schools) or the Future Ready Center (THS) for registration details. For more information, please see the World Language & Seal of Biliteracy webpage.
