K-5 families: In-person, or remote?

K-5 families: In-person, or remote?
Posted on 12/30/2020
Families of students in grades kindergarten-5 will receive a survey today (Dec. 30) that asks them to tell the school district whether their child will attend in-person learning at school when that option becomes available in a few weeks. We need to hear from each family, so please complete the survey by 4 p.m. on Jan. 6. Students in grades kindergarten-3 will return first, followed a few weeks later by grades 4 and 5. Students will attend school daily for 2.5 hours and will continue to have remote learning and independent work as part of their daily schedule. There will be morning and afternoon sessions and classes will be limited to a maximum of 15 students. Teacher assignments will be made after the survey information is available. Families will receive information about whether their student is assigned to morning or afternoon sessions in the email that is being sent today. The email message will arrive from the address TahomaUpdates@tahomasd.us, and typically takes a few hours to send because it is personalized to each family.

Further information about the in-person learning schedule can be seen on the Tahoma Reopening website: https://www.tahomacommunications.com/elementary-page
