This achievement was not won by a single test score or a single department. According to the award methodology from the Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI), excellence is measured through eleven different lenses. It looks at how ready our youngest learners are when they enter kindergarten, how our 8th graders navigate the complexities of algebra, and how many of our high schoolers are taking the leap into dual-credit and career-connected learning.
This achievement belongs to the entire Tahoma community. From the staff who come to work each day wanting the best for our students, to the families who choose to call this district home because they believe in the value of strong public schools, your partnership makes this excellence possible. We are more than a school district; we are a community that believes in its future. This recognition belongs to all of us.
