Tahoma hires new Director of Technology

We are happy to announce that Jake Voss has been selected as the new Director of Technology for the Tahoma School District. Jake will succeed Trevor Davidson, who is relocating out of state. We thank Trevor for his time at Tahoma and wish him well in his next adventures.

Jake joins us with over 18 years of experience in K-12 technology leadership, including tenures with the Peninsula and Tacoma School Districts. Throughout his career, Jake has specialized in the "behind-the-scenes" essentials: building secure infrastructure, maintaining data privacy, and ensuring that district systems are both scalable and resilient.

We understand that the role of technology in education requires a balanced and thoughtful approach. Jake’s expertise will be instrumental in ensuring our digital tools remain intentional and supportive of the needs of our students and staff. His focus will be on maintaining a secure and high-functioning technical foundation that allows our teachers to focus on what they do best: engaging with students.

Jake shares, “I believe technology in schools exists as a foundation to support excellent instruction and remove barriers that allow every student to reach their brightest potential. I'm honored and grateful to be chosen as a new member of the Tahoma SD community which has always been close to home for me.”

We are confident that Jake’s experience and practical approach to systems management will be a great asset to Tahoma. Please join us in welcoming him to our district!
