For some state testing, we anticipate scores prior to end of year!
One of the early promises with the new on-line state assessments
would be earlier reporting - ideally schools and parents getting scores
back before the end of the school year. The arget for return of test
scores to inpidual districts is three weeks after the conclusion of
testing. Tahoma had a few students complete testing just before spring
break and we do have most score reports back for those students.
Districts that completed state testing early in the assessment window
(prior to spring break) are seeing most of their scores back. Tahoma
didn't complete all testing until near the end of May, with the high
school having the latest testing window to avoid conflicts with the
Advanced Placement (AP) testing that happens in early to mid-May.
Score reporting ground to a halt for most of May but scores are
beginning to trickle in to districts across the state. We upload all new
scores to Homeroom each morning, providing easy access for teachers to
scores as we get them. Teaching and Learning will notify principals and
teaches once scores are complete for each grade level. The state is
prioritizing return of the 3rd grade ELA to support the new legislative
requirement for reporting to parents of 3rd grade students who are level
1 prior to the end of the school year.
