Highly Capable

Thank you for visiting the website for Tahoma School District's Highly Capable Program.

Our family is new to Tahoma School District, and we want to be a part of the Highly Capable Programs. What do we do?

When you have proof of residency, you will register at your neighborhood school. If your student previously has been identified as highly capable, you can complete the form asking that we look at the identification, the test scores, and the program. Students identified as highly capable in their previous school district in Washington State will continue to be identified and served as Highly Capable. The service model will depend on student qualification and space availability.

Students not identified by the previous school district will be able to participate in the nomination process during the school year for service the following school year.

Due to the large number of requests from parents considering moving to our district, and our identification model including a committee, we are unable to evaluate previous testing until students are actually registered in the school district.

Move-In Form
