⬜ Winter Weather Make-Up Date Information
Due to our canceled school days during December and January, there are five calendar updates:

Friday, March 17 is now a school day. It will be a 2-hour early release Friday.

Thursday, May 25 is now a full school day instead of an early release. This will be a GOLD day at THS.

Friday, May 26 is now a school day. It will be a 2-hour early release at all elementary schools. It will be a 3-hour early release at THS, MVMS & STMS. This will now be GREEN day (Future Ready Day, senior oral boards) at THS.

Wednesday, June 21 is now a full day and is no longer the last day of school. We must add an additional day to our school year to meet state requirements.

Thursday, June 22 is now the last day of school and will have special early release times. We will share the specific times for each school building as we approach the end of the school year.
We will also send reminders to families ahead of each of these dates. The updated calendars can also be found on our district website.
⬜ Elementary Only: Conferences Calendar Reminder
Elementary parent-teacher conferences are Thursday, Jan. 26-Tuesday, Jan. 31. Below are the elementary dismissal times during those school days.
Glacier Park, Lake Wilderness, Shadow Lake:
Thursday, Jan. 26 – 12:20 PM (3-hour early release)
Friday, Jan. 27 – 1:20 PM (2-hour early release)
Monday, Jan. 30 – 12:20 PM (3-hour early release)
Tuesday, Jan. 31 – 12:20 PM (3-hour early release)*
Cedar River, Rock Creek, Tahoma Elementary
Thursday, Jan. 26 – 12:50 PM (3-hour early release)
Friday, Jan. 27 – 1:50 PM (2-hour early release)
Monday, Jan. 30 – 12:50 PM (3-hour early release)
Tuesday, Jan. 31 – 12:50 PM (3-hour early release)*
Tahoma High School, Maple View Middle School and Summit Trail Middle School will have full day dismissals on those dates, except Friday, Jan. 27 (2-hour early release Friday).

The key dates for the 2023-34 school year calendar can be found on our district website. The full 2023-24 calendar will be shared with families once it is finalized and will be available at the same web location.
⬜ Summit Trail Middle School Only: Jan. 5 Power Outage
Due to the missed instructional day for Summit Trail Middle school on Thursday, Jan. 5, our district is applying for a waiver through the Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI) to avoid adding an additional make-up date for STMS. This is something that we have done in the past for missed school days at individual schools, as long as schools still meet the state-required instructional minutes for the academic year. We will communicate any additional schedule changes as needed.
