This school project is part of our annual 5th Grade Outdoor Education Program located at Camp Casey on Whidbey Island the last week in March. One of the activities includes a lesson on Currents in the Puget Sound. Prior to launching their boat on the beach, students make predictions on where their boat may land based on their learning. Each boat has the email address where the finder can report the date and location. Students are notified when/where their boat is "found" and they are plotted on a map for reference.
