Sports Information

6th grade Sports

Sixth graders have the opportunity to compete in five different sports that will be offered during the school year, each running approximately five weeks. Practice and Jamboree days will be determined at the start of each season. Boys and girls who wish to participate must purchase an ASB card from the cashier on Tuesdays or Thursdays, and have their parents complete an Athletic Participation form before playing sports for the first time. All paperwork must be turned into Mr. Jones ONLY, and he will issue the student an athletic clearance - also called a "pink card" - which is to be presented to the coach the first day of practice. Students are required to wear appropriate shoes and clothing for all sports activities.

7th grade Sports

Cedar River Middle School seventh graders will compete as an independent team - the "Gold" team - in the Kent/Tahoma League. Each quarter there will be at least one sport offered for boys and one sport offered for girls. Students who wish to participate must purchase an ASB card from the cashier on Tuesdays or Thursdays, and have their parents complete an Athletic Participation form. They will then be issued an athletic clearance - also called a "pink card" - which is to be presented to the coach the first day of practice. Students must provide their own transportation home after practices and games.
