Tahoma levies pass
Results from the Feb. 9 election confirm that both Tahoma school levies were approved by voters. The Replacement Educational Programs and Operations levy received 5,237 yes votes (56.56 percent) and the Replacement Technology levy received 4,852 yes votes (54.18 percent).
Energy grant brightens 3 Tahoma schools
Students at three Tahoma schools will have brighter classrooms and hallways soon thanks to the installation of new lighting ballasts and lamps paid for with a combination of energy grant funds, rebates from Puget Sound Energy and school district funds. To read more, click here.

Cell Phones for Soldiers can be dropped off at all schools
A program that began at Tahoma Junior High School is now available at all Tahoma schools, which are official drop-off sites for Cell Phones for Soldiers. Used, old and broken cell phones and their chargers are collected for recycling through this nonprofit organization. Proceeds purchase calling cards for soldiers serving abroad.
